About Us

Hance Dog Park:

Hance Dog Park is an off-leash dog park located between 3rd and 5th Avenues on the south side of Culver Street in the Roosevelt Historic District near downtown Phoenix.    Hance Dog Park is managed by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department.

 

Friends of Hance Dog Park:

“Friends of Hance Dog Park” is a group of community-minded dog lovers who are committed to setting a standard for dog parks in Phoenix.  We work in partnership with the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department to create a clean, safe, comfortable and enjoyable park for local dogs and their owners.

Mission

Friends of the Hance Dog Park is committed to fostering a clean, safe, and enjoyable park for local dogs and their owners.

We will do this by:

● Being a trusted and responsible source to identify, implement, and maintain enhancements to the dog park.

● Promoting understanding and respect for the dog park rules and encouraging good behavior by dogs and their owners.

● Being an effective conduit for identifying and helping resolve issues which may arise regarding the dog park and its use.

● Enhancing the community of the dog park by providing information, encouraging park participation, and organizing events.
